         Andy Hinchcliffe Career Details


ANDY HINCHCLIFFE is a retired professional footballer who played at the very highest level of English football for over 16 years.

Andy was a FULL ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL

 
During his career he represented three of the country’s top Premiership clubs...

MANCHESTER CITY, EVERTON and SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY.

Playing over 450 games, Andy earned a reputation as an attacking left-back with stunning dead-ball abilities.

With Everton,Andy won the FA Cup in May 1995, beating Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley.

Back at Wembley in August of 1995, Andy helped Everton win the Charity Shield beating Blackburn Rovers 1-0.

Andy gained 7 international caps for ENGLAND over a 3-year period.

He made his debut along with DAVID BECKHAM in England's 3-0 away win against Moldova on 1st September 1996.

            

 

In March 2002 at the age of 33, Andy was advised to retire from football after suffering a serious knee injury whilst playing for Sheffield Wednesday. 

He's currently a presenter with 'GAME ON' a football show on MAGIC 1152 radio station in Manchester. 

Andy also provides expert analysis of all Man City games as a match summariser.

 

In July 2003, Andy and his family flew to Florida to choose the design and location of their Orlando home.

 Completed in February 2004, 'DAVENPORT HOUSE' was exactly what they wanted.
